How can a distillery find the soul of whisky that belongs to Dali, Yunnan?

OLI Architecture drew inspiration from local traditional culture, creatively blending the brewing heritage of a Scotch whisky distillery with the local wisdom of the Bai people of Dali. Based on the Bai traditional dwelling’s “three courtyards and one screen wall” design, and incorporating the site’s 12-meter elevation difference, the design reconstructed the traditional courtyard system, creating a layered and expansive spatial sequence.
